Forever on Repeat: New Music

Confession: A lot of my music comes from Grey’s Anatomy episodes and Discover Weekly playlists on Spotify. Here are some songs I just can't get out of my head.

Dark Matter by Andrew Belle
I've followed Andrew Belle since his days of Static Waves, but my latest obsession is Dark Matter from his most recent album, Black Bear.

Ribs by Lorde
Addicted to the signature raspy, sultry, badass-ery that is Lorde and this song is no exception. Pure Heroine: recommended.

Leave a Trace by CHVRCHES
Why have I been living under a rock? Where has CHVRCHES been all my life? Definitely can't get this song out of my head. On repeat: FOREVER.

Swear Like a Sailor by Tep No
This was actually in a tie with The Last Ones Standing, but really, almost any song from Tep No is sure to be a hit in my book and a great addition to any playlist.

Into the Wild by Lewis Watson
Only one year separates Lewis Watson and I, but his youthful face paired with a mature voice in this upbeat tune make me want to just hop into the car and go on an adventure into the wild.

Electricity (Rush) by FMLYBND
FMLYBND showed up on my Discover Weekly playlist once and I was forever hooked on the M83-like sound. Electricity (Rush) has such an addicting melody, it's hard to think about anything else.

Wide Open by The Chemical Brothers
Prepare for an eargasm around the 2-minute mark. Warning: If you have trypophobia, this video may be a trigger. Viewer discretion advised.

My Number by Foals
These guys were recently in KC along with Silversun Pickups and Joywave, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the show at the Midland. Thankfully, 96.5 The Buzz was there to record it live.

WE DO NOT REMEMBER DAYS, WE REMEMBER MOMENTS
Since moving back to KC, I've made a point to really put my camera to use and discover as much as I can within my hometown. Somehow, even having spent 18 years of my life in the boundaries of Kansas City, I'm only just now realizing all this magnificent city has to offer.
